Day 1
Cai Be – Sa Dec
Your journey begins at Phu An Jetty at 10:00 am. Begin with a bicycle ride around this remote countryside area, ending at Le Longanier Restaurant. Lunch is served in this exquisite colonial-style villa set in a lush tropical garden by the river.
After lunch, start your leisurely cruise on the Delta’s beautiful waterways. Stop along the way to observe traditional clay-pot production and other small local industries that support riverside communities.
Upon arriving in Sa Dec, step ashore and stroll through the colorful outdoor market. Visit the historic house of Huynh Thuy Le, who inspired the male protagonist in Marguerite Duras’s acclaimed novel “The Lover.”
Enjoy a candlelit dinner at the historic house before spending your first night aboard the Song Xanh on the Tien River.
Day 2
Sa Dec – Long Xuyen – Phu Tan
Enjoy breakfast on board as you cruise toward Long Xuyen along a narrow canal, with pristine countryside views, then stop to visit a Cao Dai temple.
After lunch on board, arrive in Long Xuyen and visit Tiger Island, the former home of President Ton Duc Thang. Return to the sampan for dinner, then continue cruising to Chau Doc.
The boat sails until approximately 10:00 pm before anchoring for the night. Overnight on board.
Day 3
Phu Tan – Chau Doc
Breakfast is served on board as the sampan cruises towards Chau Doc. Located near the Cambodian border, Chau Doc serves as a gateway to Phnom Penh and is known for its pagodas and temples. The town is also close to Tra Su Cajuput Forest, a distinctive flooded melaleuca ecosystem rich in birdlife.
Disembark at Victoria Chau Doc Hotel’s private pier at approximately 10:00 am.
