We set out early (6.00 am) to catch the bustle of the wholesale fruit market at Cai Rang. Vendors who live aboard their wooden barges jostle for space as they vye for business, each with a sample of their produce displayed on a long pole.
Later, we’ll follow narrow waterways, stopping to see how local workers skillfully make rice paper, then visit a traditional bamboo basket weaving village to see the locals making baskets with their own hands.
