Set off early (6:30 am) to observe the bustle of the famed Cai Rang floating market where dozens of colorful boats trade in fruits and vegetables and other products of the Delta.
Look for long poles showcasing what each boat has for sale. Also spot the smaller boats which service the larger barges, serving up steaming bowls of noodle soup as well as coffee and fresh coconut juice. Continue cruising to a cocoa farm and learn about the fascinating process of making chocolate, from harvesting the cocoa pods to processing the beans into chocolate, all while sipping a glass of hot (or iced) chocolate made right on the farm.
