Approximately 25 km north of Hoi An lie the majestic Marble Mountains on the shores of the East Sea. According to legend, the mountains are the remains of an eggshell the dragon king left behind after the birth of a beautiful princess. At the beginning of the 19th century, King Gia Long passed by this region and named these mountains after the five elements: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth.
Your climb of 157 stone steps to get the pagoda atop the mountain will be rewarded with an imposing panorama overlooking Da Nang Bay.
