At 07:00 Am : Meet your car and guide at 157 Pasteur, Ward 6, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, and depart for Cai Be (Tien Giang Province).
10:00 Am: Upon arrival, board the Cai Be Princess and cruise to Tan Phong Islet.
Explore a fruit orchard on the river islet which produces fruit year-round and meet the friendly locals known for their ready smiles. Soak in the tranquil surrounds, truly a world away from hectic urban life.
Walk along village paths and learn how traditional net-like rice paper is made, or try your hand at weaving crafts from sedges and water hyacinth with guidance from the local artisans.
Board a small canoe and cruise along narrow waterways, past mangroves and lush orchards, for a close-up look at how life is lived on and by the water in the rustic Mekong Delta.
Return to the Cai Be Princess and cruise to another tropical fruit orchard. Stroll through the beautifully green setting and see how many types of fruit you can identify. Sample the delicious seasonal fruit together with a cup of hot tea while listening to a performance of “đờn ca Tài Tử”, a form of traditional folk music unique to Southern Vietnam. At a handicrafts village on the Phu An River, observe how local specialties like coconut candy and young rice flakes are made from freshly harvested, then toasted sweet rice. Learn more about the labor-intensive process, from raw ingredients to finished products, ready to be eaten.
For lunch, cruise to Le Longanier Restaurant, a gorgeously traditional country estate with breezy views over the gardens.
